Can someone please fix a test for me? I've managed to get my touchscreen working on my Linx 8 with W10 Fall Update.

1) Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
2) Browse to:

Code: Select all

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ACPI\GDIX1001\3&4820efc&0\Device Parameters
3) Set the following DWORD value to 0:

Code: Select all

EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled
(Leave FirmwareIdentified and SelectiveSuspendOn as "1").

4) Reboot

Seems to be working fine, however as I'm only editing the Current Control Set, this could be overwritten or revert back to its previous value after a driver update or System Restore. I think the default values are stored in

Code: Select all

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\DriverDatabase\DriverPackages\goodixtouchdrive.inf_x86_c785644c5b19b481\Configurations\GoodixTouchDriver.Inst.Win7.NT\Device\EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled (DWORD)
which is set to "1"; however the permissions on that location are protected. I took ownership of that key and re-wrote the permissions on it so I could set the value to "0", just to be sure - but I don't know if it's necessary.

No responsibility taken if this breaks your device! This was done on my Linx 8 running Windows 10 "Home" Fall Update x86.

Just wanted to thank you for a fix, it works perfectly so now have touchscreen back without power lead plugged in.
Really grateful for this, now got my tablet back.

Had exactly the same problem - the regedit fixed mine too - thanks for the post.

Hi I have a later model linx that was working fine on windows 10 home, I upgraded to pro and have lost touch, rotate battery meter etc. I notice in registry those GDIX touch stuff does not exist.

Anyone know if there is a fix for this model maybe?
