FCU update breaks Linx 8 tablets.

Exertis have released a new bios update that fixes issues

Installing the Updated BIOS

Download the Linx 8 RS3 package from the link onto your Linx 8 tablet: You need to be registered to view this link, please log-in or register

Extract the Zip file

Open the BIOS and the LINX8.RL221.04.01_20171020 folder on the tablet.

Ensure the tablet is connected to power and charging.

Locate the H2OFFT file and double-tap.

Exertis made an effort with the BIOS update, but they didn't even attempt to update the old Windows 8 drivers. That's why I'd recommend people to use my version instead.

  • It's a much smaller file (half the size!)
  • It's much easier to use
  • All of my drivers are optimized for Windows 10 and they're all digitally signed

I can verify this works fine - just be a bit patient - it does take a couple of minutes. Here is direct link from above post.

Many thanks to both of you for the links to the updated drivers and BIOS. Just installed them - update went fine though I did have a few anxious moments after the reboot and the screen remained blank for awhile!
