Be interesting to see the results with you're 2.1 charger and power block.

Last night I noticed that when I turn the Linx on and the logo appears it draws 1.7 amps, then immediately drops to and stays at 1.4 amps mostly (sometimes going between 1.4/1.3 amps) when the logo goes off and I'm signed in.

Also, I checked to see if it had charged when charging while it was switched off and noticed that it was drawing 0.4/0.5 amps. Basically standard computer USB port charging.

So I switched it on and it was at 99%.

So, it downgrades how much it draws from the charger when it's almost fully charged.

I can also add that my Linx10 shows a battery design capacity and full charge of 29,230 while my Linx8 show capacity 17,107 against design capacity of 29,967 as others have noted.

I suspect that this may be down to the firmware reporting the incorrect capacity on the Linx8.

Who know now we have some official connections we may even get an official firmware update.

LikeLinx,

My Portapow has arrived, and my results are as follows:

1) With supplied charger - 1.4 amps when switched on, and 1 amp when switched off
2) With 2.1 A charger - 1.4 amps when switched on, and 1 amp when switched off
3) With power block - 1.4 amps when switched on, and 1 amp when switched off
4) When charging when off, then switching on, goes up from 1 amp to 1.4 amps

It just goes to show that impressions are not always correct, I guess, because I was certain that
the power block was charging faster.

Many thanks again for the heads up on the Portapow.

Hi mate.

It does seem like the manufacturer of our tablets has limited it's ability to charge at 2.0 amps, which is disappointing. :|

Btw I've noticed that the cable supplied with Linx is rated at 2.0.

Didn't think to look at the details on the wire.

I'm not sure mate.

I'm a bit worried about going into the bios. Also, my keyboard connected via OTG only seems to work when I'm inside windows.

I'm interested to see what options are available and also to see if there is a battery threshold option that allows you to stop charging the battety when it reaches 80% (The best way to prolong battery life is to charge battery at 40% to 80%)
